“I am so proud to offer my enthusiastic endorsement of Monica Garcia for reelection to the GUSD Board of Education. She has been a consistent, visible presence at GHS, where I have taught for 26 years, and at every school across our district. She has been a champion of the AP Capstone program and has accepted our invitation to sit on the oral defense panel each spring for multiple classes. I am well aware that the hours spent at AP Research presentations and attending every fall musical represent only a fraction of her endeavors across Glendora, and that commitment, along with her desire to serve students and staff, make her a stellar board member and member of the community as a whole. At a time when even local politics can feel so divisive and extreme, I have always been encouraged by Monica’s resolve: she is always students first, and she believes in the transformative power of public education. Serving Glendora’s Students
I was a certified Barton Reading tutor at Cullen, and have served on the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) for three schools in GUSD: Cullen Elementary, Goddard Middle School (current Dance Committee Chair), and Glendora High School (current Hospitality Chair).

I have had the privilege of volunteering with the Glendora Education Foundation in various capacities, and I am currently the middle school liaison for Goddard and GEF.
